Dan Cheresh 
Founder

Serving as President/CEO of Informs since its formation in January of 1989 to April 2019, Dan Cheresh oversaw and was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company as well as oversight of business development, vendor relations and strategic sales. Dan graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Pre Law.

Dan’s career began professionally racing sailboats.  In the mid 1980s, he moved back to Michigan from Southern California and accepted his first job in sales for Moore Business Forms. Two years later, Dan Cheresh and Dave Hockstra decided to start Lakeshore Business Forms (A Division Of Informs, Inc.).

Dan continues his sailing today as a nonprofessional and has a sailing team (Extreme2 Sailing Team) that he campaigns across the country.

Dave Hockstra 
Founder

Dave Hockstra co-founded Informs in 1989.  During his time as COO, he oversaw company operations ranging from financial relationships to IT infrastructure.  Dave graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Computer Information Systems.

Starting his career in Detroit selling for NCR, Dave was trained as a label specialist just as barcode technology was taking off.  He moved to Grand Rapids before founding Informs, which started by selling business forms and labels, but quickly expanded into a full service barcode equipment provider. 

Dave is married with four children and three grandchildren.  He has been a competitive runner and mountain bike racer. During his down time, he enjoys golfing and stream fishing in West Michigan.

Jamie Langford 
National Sales Director

Jamie Langford is the National Sales Manager for Informs, Inc., managing a salesforce that covers North America and also sells into 34 countries. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a major in Business and a minor in Marketing.

Jamie began his sales career selling parking gates and time and attendance solutions. He entered the barcode industry in the 90’s with Intermec Technologies where he was the National Sales Director for Intermec’s Label and Printer Division. In 2010 he accepted the same role and responsibilities with Informs.

In addition to being an avid basketball and tennis player, Jamie is a fan of both sports. He lives in Rehoboth, Massachesetts with his daughter.  Jamie loves the beach and tropical locations. He is originally from North Carolina and enjoys visiting his family there.

Rob Dunn 
General Manager

After three years as corporate controller and management information systems architect, Rob Dunn was named General Manager at Informs in January 2006. In this position, he leads the customer service, accounting, ISO Compliance, helpdesk, warehousing and logistics, and marketing departments.  Rob’s experience and drive have been instrumental in bringing team members in all departments to function with one common vision. 

Additionally, Rob holds responsibilities in all aspects of the business including overall operational productivity and efficiency, supplier relationships, and corporate financial performance. He enjoys developing new product lines, as well as bringing aboard and directly managing some of the company’s largest clients.  

Rob graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Business Management and an emphasis in accounting.  After successfully passing the Michigan CPA exam, he previously worked for 10 years as Chief Financial Officer for a large automotive concern. Rob’s interests include spending time with his family, coaching, and outdoor related activities including hunting and fishing.

Jen Smuda
Customer Service Manager

Jen has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Davenport University and has been with Informs since 2001. 

She oversees the customer service team and enjoys the fast paced environment at Informs as well as helping customers find the best solutions for their needs. 

Jen enjoys volunteering, reading, and taking care of her small farm with her family.

Frank Rose
Helpdesk Manager

Frank has a bachelor’s degree in Network Security and has been with Informs since 2010.

He leads the team that responds to support calls and designs solutions for our customers. Frank enjoys being able to solve problems and help customers integrate data collection into their workflow.

In his free time he enjoys working on cars and building PCs.  

Chelsea Williams
Marketing Manager

Chelsea has a bachelor’s degree in Management from Hope College, a master’s degree in Marketing Research from Michigan State, and has been with Informs since 2014. 

She manages the website, CRM, and social media pages, designs collateral, and enjoys planning all marketing activities for Informs. 

In her free time she likes reading, baking, and going to concerts.

Karen Gabelsberger
Warehouse Manager

Karen has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Packaging and has been with Informs since 2015. 

Her role ensures that our warehouse meets AIB and ISO compliance requirements while also sending shipments on time. 

Karen enjoys biking, walking, being at the beach, and drinking coffee.
